The new upcoming dub tracks from Ajapai are huge. Definitely take note of these previews and when they come out. Soon to be released on Excision's Rottun Records his new stuff is already getting support from big boys like Rob Swire from Pendulum/Knife Party.
Preview part of the EP here:
I noticed this track when it started climbing the Electro House charts on Beatport and it is now nearing the top. This track is something new and different from the regular Digital Freq sound; this has more of an electro house sound than they usually put out. Enjoy and support buy grabbing it on Beatport.
I finally give you our Hard Summer Recap! Starting off from the beginning let's just say the weather could have not been any better in downtown LA for this massive. Nothing beats listening to great music on a warm summer evening. Now out of all the artist I saw my top three would have to be Boys Noize, Duck Sauce, and Gesaffelstein. Although Gesaffelstein played in the beginning of the evening he threw down one of the best true techno sets I have ever seen. Picture a french guy suited up in a full tux sucking down multiple cigarettes behind the decks and you have Gesaffelstein. Below is a video of Gesaffelstein playing one of his hit tracks Variations.
Next was one of the most anticipated acts of the night, DUCK SAUCE! Duck Sauce is a duo made of veteran DJ's A-Trak and Armand Van Helden. Both currently residing in New York, their set was filled with some of the best disco house you could ask for... everyone was shaking their ass! One of my favorite songs of their set was the intro, Good 2 Me - Duck Sauce
Finally headlining the main stage was non other then Alex Ridha otherwise known as Boys Noize. Alex hands down threw down my favorite sets of the night. His ability to read almost any crowd has allowed him to become sought after as one of the best live DJ's on the planet. At the peak of his set Alex threw down Bart B More's Brap...everyone lost their shit, I can not even begin to explain the amount of bass that was being pumped through the crowd. Naturally as every set comes to an end, most of us want more. At the end of Boy Noize's set the crowd began to scream encore... and luckily enough we got one, but not just any encore.. a ZOMBIE ENCORE!
I leave you guys with some tunage. Here is my favorite song from each of the sets above.
Just got some dubstep tracks the artists decided to release for free, because they are cool like that. The least you can do is support them on facebook or something right? Check em out, Kids at the Bar, Crizzly, Pillowtalk and Jontron.
I don't like posting mixes. This is an exception. As you may know from an earlier post, Knife Party is pretty much Pendulum without the live element. They have released a banging remix of a rather boring and poppy Swedish House Mafia song and now we found this mix. It is a mix of all Knife Party tracks not yet released. All the tracks are amazing and we can't wait for their releases. One of the songs is a collab with Skrillex, but I gotta say a lot of them sound like they take a lot of influence from Skrillex. Maybe there is more to this that we don't know yet...? Props to Electro Italia to picking this up first.
We all know Electrixx for their song Tetris. It's been a while something came out by them that was just as good in my opinion. I think this is it. It's good to hear new banging material from these guys. Support em and get the EP on Beatport here. Check their facebook for more music here.
Alright everyone it's Friday and I hope you all are ready for the weekend! This weekend is going to be extra special here in Southern California because on Saturday we are fortunate enough to have Hard Summer in LA. I will be covering the event so you can expect a recap of my favorites sometime next week. On a different note I have some awesome tracks for you today, they're kind of all over the map genre wise so I'm just gonna post them and let you guys decide which ones you like best!
Look out for our coverage of Hard Summer next week, and for anyone in the Central Coast area of California, I will be opening for Felix Cartal and Mustard Pimp!
As much as they are goobers (as evident in the photo above) Dirtyloud pretty much started complextro and keep putting out songs like these. This remix of the Spencer & Hill track Dance goes back to some of their older sounds while still keeping it fresh with new ones. Support this Brazilian duo and buy the track! Hit up their facebook and soundcloud for more bombs.
Lots of stuff gets submitted to Crash-It, but little of it makes it past our quality filter. It has been a while since I posted something that was sent to us so this post is dedicated to the brave souls who send us their music for our brutal critiquing. Another thing that makes this post different is that fact that several of these songs have a pop/hiphop/mainsteam side to them, something we tend to stay away from. But I think that these songs do have their feet planted in the electro/dubstep/house realm making them appropriate to post.
Rock Wit U (Tommy Noble Moombahlectro Remix) - Alicia Keys [moombahelectro]
This Summer Anthem is super summer-y for you. One of the more optimistic and happy ones that we have posted, it's a perfect summer beach track. Appropriately titled Dance the Night Away, this track is by Dave Edwards, a producer from Brooklyn. Starting off strong by remixing a lot songs into electro and progressive house tunes he is definitely someone you will hear about in the future. Check out all his songs on souncloud, many of which are downloadable. Follow his facebook here.
